Housing Updates

Evie & Nutmeg
The abv two cages belong to Evie (bottom) & Nutmeg (top). Initially I bot the green cage for Evie. But it's a tad too big for her, esp the wheel. So I switched with Nutmeg. The 2nd deck in Evie's cage belongs to Nutmeg's cage. But Nutmeg is not making *full* use of it. So I use it for Evie.

Mae & Snowie
These two cages belong to Mae (top) and Snowie (bottom). As Snowie loves climbing among all, I will give her the 2nd deck to see how it goes.

Snow White Fast Asleep

Fresh Foods II

I served these veges to the gers last nite - organic alfalfa sprouts, leafy veges from the mixed salad pack, bitter gourd and brocolli.

But I only managed to catch Evie & Nutmeg at the food dish. Snowie was STILL fast asleep in the hideout.

As usual, Mae ignore the temptation of fresh foods. Yet I did catch her digging into her dry mix.

Snowie loves the tissue paper.

And she stayed in there the whole day. Until yours truly itchy-fingers went to disturb her.

The New Neighbour

Girls, we have a new neighbour. She's a white female Syrian, suspected to be 6mo.

And her name is ... *drum roll purlease* ... SNOWIE.

Tucking into her first meal in the new home.

Testing out the "gym".

Standing proud & tall in her new home.

PS: I am so loving this NPF cage.

Finally!!!!

Ever since I started on this hamster-pet-craze and getting to know more about this particular species, I am determined to have them as pets for as long as I can.

On top of that, after reading up on the various breeds, I am keen to try my hands at having each of the breed.

So far I have had two Russian Dwarfs, one Sapphire Winter White and one Campbell. So I am short of the Roborovskis & Syrian. Between these two breeds, I wudn't dare to try the former. Cos it is said that the Roborovskis is very timid and thus not easy to tame. Yet the Syrian is the smartest breed among all and very human-friendly. So I've set my mind on getting a Syrian for my next hamster.

Since I've been adopting adult hamsters, I would like to try one from birth. But it's not easy to find a very young Syrian in Singapore, so I keep my mind open for those not yet 1yo.

And guess what??!! I had managed to find one. All thanks to fellow hamster-loving-friends.

This lil ger was rescued by the blogger. I choose her cos she seems to be the only one with the least problems, esp in dealing with humans. And my mentors will be picking her up this Sat.

Oh, goody goody goody!!!!
